Hot Rolled Band Sheet Steel Products HOT ROLLED BAND SHEET STEEL PRODUCTSSeverstal North America's Hot Rolled Band is a non-tempered product directly off the 68" Hot Strip Mill which is capable of rolling more than 4 millions tons per year. The product begins with a continuously cast slab produced to meet customer specifications and chemical compositions. SNA's three walking beam reheat furnaces and seven stand finishing train manufactures a band with precise gauge control, excellent surface quality, a flat gauge profile and accurate width tolerance. Hot Rolled Band products may be ordered to a minimum or nominal specified thickness and are sold on an actual weight basis. SNA's Hot Rolled Band products are available in low carbon, high strength low alloy, structural, high carbon and alloy grades. Hot Rolled Bands can be further processed by SNA into Cold Rolled, Hot Dipped Galvanized and Electrolytic Galvanized products.Common End Uses
HOT ROLLED PROCESSED SHEET STEEL PRODUCTSSNA's Hot Rolled Processed Sheet is a hot rolled band that may be pickled and oiled, pickled dry, edge trimmed, cropped to thickness, slit and/or cut to length. Hot Rolled Processed Sheet products may be ordered to a minimum or nominal specified thickness and are sold on an actual weight basis. Hot Rolled Pickled products are processed through a hydrochloric acid pickling solution and, at the customers option, can be supplied as mill edge or cut edge. Products may be pickled in-house or by an outside processor. Purchasers may specify a wide variety of oils and film thicknesses including slushing or pre-lube oil. Other customer-specified dry film lubrications are also available on request.Common End Uses
COLD ROLLED SHEET STEEL PRODUCTSSNA's Cold Rolled Sheet is produced from a precisely manufactured hot rolled processed sheet, which is then cold-reduced to the desired thickness on the Tandem Cold Reduction Mill. The resulting Cold Rolled Full Hard Sheet can be further processed through annealing furnaces and tempering to produce a highly ductile product. Cold Rolled Sheet products may be ordered to a minimum or nominal specified thickness and are sold on an actual weight basis.PRODUCT CLASSIFICATIONS
HOT DIPPED GALVANIZED SHEET STEEL PRODUCTSSNA's Hot Dipped Galvanized Sheet is manufactured by passing cold rolled or hot rolled sheet steel through a molten bath of zinc or zinc-iron alloy. SNA's Hot Dipped Galvanized Sheet provides a barrier of resistance to steel oxidation. The coated product can then be chemically-treated, phosphate-coated, oiled and/or tempered for an extra-smooth surface. If the product is subsequently oiled, chemically-treated or painted the corrosion resistance is improved. Hot Dipped Galvanized Sheet products may be ordered to a minimum or nominal thickness and are sold on an actual weight basis. The thickness of the sheet includes both the base steel and the zinc coating.Common End Uses
ELECTROGALVANIZED SHEET STEEL PRODUCTSSNA's Electrogalvanized Sheet Steel is produced from Cold Rolled Sheet that is electrolytically coated with zinc or a zinc-iron alloy. The electrolytic zinc and zinc-iron alloy sheets are available with a range of coating weights up to 100 grams per square meter on one side and 70 grams per square meter on the other side. These products are available with various coating types: one side coated with zinc; one side coated with zinc-iron alloy; two sides coated with zinc or two sides coated with the zinc-iron alloy at various differential-coating weights. Electrolytic zinc and zinc-iron alloy coated sheets can be specified to a minimum or nominal thickness and are sold on an actual weight basis. The thickness of the sheet includes both the base steel and the zinc coating.Common End Uses
