Position Description

• Ensure that Safe Job Practices are adhered to
• Conduct safety audits and ensure training needs include safe method(s)
• Respond to unit delays, reaction times, root causes identification and correction
• Effectively manage manpower and work schedule of crew
• Effective communication between supervisors during shift change to ensure that shift performances and delay descriptions are tracked and monitored
• Knowledge of line issues and preventative action to reduce line delay occurrence
• Ensure communication between operating and maintenance departments
• Identify training needs and assessment to ensure manpower development
• Responsible for product quality
• Responsible for the enforcement of company policy and procedures regarding safety, quality and employee discipline
• Follow company policy regarding all health, safety and environmental procedures
• All other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

• Prior Supervisory experience
• Knowledge of Rolling Mills/Operation/Ancillary Unit preferred
• Must have excellent communication skills and be energetic and self motivated
• Ability to manage crisis and multiple tasks
• Must be willing to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
